Scholarships & Bursaries
UWIDEF’s scholarship and bursary programmes are designed to recognise both financial need and outstanding achievement across a wide cross-section of the student population.
UWIDEF remains committed to expanding access to tertiary education by providing scholarships, bursaries and grants to deserving students of The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus.
Awards are based on financial need and academic merit, ensuring that students who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership potential and commitment to their personal development are given the opportunity to continue their studies and achieve their goals. Awards are available to nationals of Trinidad and Tobago as well as regional students enrolled in various faculties across the Campus.
Empowerment for excellence
Through the generous support of donors, alumni, corporate partners and friends of the University, we continue to ease the financial burden faced by students while empowering them to pursue academic excellence, leadership and personal development.
UWIDEF Bursary
Among the flagship programmes is the UWIDEF Bursary, which provides financial assistance to students who have successfully completed their first year of study and continue to maintain strong academic performance.
UWIDEF Star Bursary
The UWIDEF Stary Bursary recognises students who exemplify exceptional academic achievement and active participation in co-curricular activities
UWIDEF Sports Scholarship
The UWIDEF Sports Scholarship supports student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom.
